NEW BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT EXECUTIVE- FREEWAY, TRAFFIC & TOLLING SYSTEMS

Job Specification Overview:
Nortech Systems is seeking a proactive and results-driven New Business Development Executive to expand our footprint in the freeway traffic management and tolling monitoring systems market. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of highway transportation systems, tolling technology, and ITS solutions, with excellent skills in generating new business opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and driving sales growth in this specialized sector.

 

Key Responsibilities:
Market & Lead Generation:

Identify and prospect new clients in transportation authorities, toll agencies, infrastructure developers, and government bodies involved in freeway traffic and toll management.
Develop and execute strategies to penetrate new markets and segments within the freeway and tolling sectors.
Conduct industry research to identify upcoming projects, technological trends, and competitors.

Client Engagement & Relationship Building:

Initiate contact with potential clients through meetings, presentations, and industry events.
Understand client needs and tailor presentations of Nortech’s tolling and freeway monitoring systems.
Build long-term relationships and establish Nortech as a preferred vendor for advanced traffic and tolling solutions.

Sales & Business Development:

Lead the preparation and delivery of technical proposals, tenders, and quotations.
Negotiate commercial terms, contracts, and project scope to secure new business.
Follow through with client during the bid process, award, and project implementation stages.

Collaborative Strategy & Reporting:

Coordinate closely with technical teams and project managers to ensure smooth onboarding of new clients.
Provide feedback and market insights to support product development and strategic planning.
Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets and contribute to the company’s growth objectives.
Qualifications & Experience:
Proven track record (minimum 3-5 years) in business development or sales within ITS, tolling, traffic management, or related transportation systems.
Strong knowledge of freeway traffic and tolling technologies, including ANPR, ETC systems, and traffic data analytics.
Experience in developing and managing large bids, tenders, and contractual negotiations.
Demonstrated success in building strategic partnerships and expanding client base in government or infrastructure projects.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field; additional technical certifications are a plus.
Willingness to travel extensively (up to 50-70%) for meetings, site visits, and industry events.
